McEntee Consulting
Educational Consultant
I am a 37-year veteran educator who specializes in mathematics curriculum. My diverse career has included teaching at both elementary and middle schools. Additionally, I have taught students ranging from special education to gifted education. In the latter part of my career, I became a district math coach, supporting all grades, TK-9, across four school sites. I mentored colleagues using instructional materials, on-site classroom demonstrations of lessons, and by organizing strategic professional development sessions.

In addition to my coaching and teaching, I have also worked with educators throughout the county as a consultant with Silicon Valley Math Initiative (SVMI). As one of their facilitators, I’ve helped teachers strengthen their knowledge and understanding of Problems of the Week, MARS tasks, Math Talks, and Re-engagement lessons to increase student achievement through improved mathematics instruction.

For over 20 years, I have been part of the Northern and Southern California Math Councils (CMC). There, I’ve presented numerous workshops and supported teachers with content and pedagogy.

Currently, I support schools throughout California by providing staff workshops and trainings designed to increase student achievement.
